The Franklin X-1000 pickleball paddle is a very good price/quality choice from one of the better known pickleball brands. It has an extra-wide fiberglass hitting surface to maximize hitting area, widen the sweet spot and provide plenty of control in the kitchen zone. The core is made of a durable 13 mm thick polymer honeycomb, and is coupled on both sides with reactive and game-ready fiberglass panels. The X-1000 racquet weighs 218 - 232 gr, putting it in the mid-weight range and providing plenty of weight and power when needed. It has a 12.7 cm long handle with a medium circumference. The grip has perforations that minimize sweaty palms, while the ridges provide comfort.
